Avneet regularly works on large real estate transactions and projects involving multiple parties and can efficiently facilitate and reconcile competing interests to meet clients’ practical and strategic goals, with legally defensible options and solutions.

Prior to starting her own practice, Avneet worked for Lounsbery Ferguson Altona & Peak, LLP, a local boutique firm representing public entity, business, and real property clients on real estate transactions, land use and development, and advising on business entity formation, operation, and sale. While at LFAP, Avneet was Deputy City Attorney for San Marcos and Lemon Grove advising on complex legal issues pertaining to entitlements and CEQA.

Avneet obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia in 2002, a Master of Arts in Legal Psychology in 2005 from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. Following law school and articling, Avneet moved to San Diego, and now, in addition to her legal career, is a lecturer in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University teaching business law.

Throughout the years, Avneet has served her community as past president of the Carlsbad Rotary Club and as a director or member of a number of legal associations.  

Avneet is also an engaged member of the community, volunteering her time with legal and non-profit boards throughout the county:
